答案:The Rabbit-Tortoise Race
Once upon a time, there lived a rabbit and a tortoise in the forest. One day the tortoise and the rabbit had a race to decide who ran faster than the other. After determining the route, they began to run.
At first, the rabbit ran very fast and was in front of the tortoise. Seeing the tortoise was far behind him, the rabbit thought the tortoise was so slow that he could hardly catch up with him. So, he lay under a tree, and soon fell asleep. Although the tortoise ran slowly, he didn't stop. Instead, he kept on running. When the rabbit woke up and didn't find the tortoise, he ran to the finishing line as fast as possible. To his surprise, the tortoise was there.
Without doubt, the tortoise won the race. At the same time, the rabbit thought why he lost the race and he learned that he failed because of his pride. From the story I have learned that "Modesty helps one to make progress. Conceit makes one lag behind."
