Recently, our class did a survey about “heroes in our hearts”. Here are the results:
30% of students choose Sherlock Holmes. They think he’s smart and calm, and he’s a great detective. 25% admire Marie Curie—she discovered radium and helped develop X-ray machines. The most popular hero, chosen by 45% of students, is Yang Liwei. He’s brave and the first Chinese to go into space.
As for me, my hero is Yuan Longping. He developed hybrid rice to feed more people, and he worked hard all his life. Heroes like him teach us to pursue our dreams and help others.
