Sitting on a scaffold(脚手架),Liu Zhicheng puts the final touches to the painting of lotus flowers and cranes(鹤). With and paint,he brings the two birds to life on the wall of a village(村庄)in Southwest China. He has a great love for the countryside of China and hopes to bring some modern street decorations to villages.
Liu also borrowed some from Chinese culture for his paintings.
Earlier,Liu wall paintings for about six years. Last year,he began a two-year project of painting 100 walls in Yongsheng where he was born. It usually takes Liu about two to three days to a small area of a wall painting and over a week for a big one. His artworks also make children stay around to see he paints. People love the bright colours and some children even start making paintings of own to show him. “If our work can warm children’s hearts and create new opportunities for their plans,it would be wonderful,” he says. Liu records his works and shares the short videos on his home . His artworks colour to the countryside,so more tourists are coming to these villages. “It’s my honour and pleasure to pretty up the villages with my art,” says Liu. “I will more walls to attract more visitors and help the local people get rich through tourism(旅游业). ”
