Marcus got up from his desk and slowly looked outside towards the playground. Kids were laughing, and having fun. He wanted to join them.
Last week, the bad kids caused a lot of for Marcus and his friends.
Marcus’s teacher, Ms Black, a teacher with a loving heart, came up to him. “Don’t you want to ?” she asked. Marcus hesitated(犹豫), and then nodded. Ms Black opened the door with one hand and led him outside with the other.

“That’s it,” he thought. “I’ve had enough.”
Marcus felt angry. A voice that he didn’t even recognize(辨别出) came out of his mouth. “No, Hitch!” Marcus shouted. “We were here first. You and Evan can use the swings we finish.”
The playground got as some kids looked up. Marcus stood still and tall. Ms Black looked out of the classroom window, watching carefully.

Marcus acted as if it was but felt his face go red. He was just glad to be able to play with his friends during the break.
When the break , they walked back into the classroom. Ms Black faced Marcus and put her hand softly on his shoulder.
“I saw that, Marcus. It was very of you to say no to the bullies(恶霸) and stand up for yourself and your friends,” she said. “You should be proud of yourself.”
Marcus smiled quickly to himself and took a seat at his desk.
