“Do you know who I am？” demanded Colin again. “Answer!” Ben Weatherstaff’s voice was shaking when he replied.
“I know who you are. You look like your mother. You are the poor hunchback(驼背的人).”
Colin’s face went red.

Thirty years ago,I fell in love with a dog called Cookie. Though it was hard for me to add a 1 mouth to feed,I never gave it a second thought.
Cookie could quickly connect seeing my bags spread across the bed with my leaving on a trip. She was also good at s 2 unhappiness with her tail,trying to make me stay.
When I came back home and wrote my stories,she always sat next to my desk and we could have “talks” about where I’d been a 3 what I’d seen. We “talked” with each other as only animals and those who love them can. I often read to her what I’d written. Of course,she didn’t u 4 what I was really writing.
