Once upon a time, there was a little vine (葡萄藤). She was young, but she grew well. In her eyes, she could do everything well all by herself.
As winter came, the wind became strong. The little vine had a bad time. She felt it would be difficult for her to grow or live any more. Suddenly, the little vine heard a voice. A bigger vine was calling her, “Here, reach out and hold on to me.” However, the little vine did nothing. She was not sure whether (是否) she should listen to the bigger vine or not.
“What would this mean?” she thought. She always did everything by herself before.
“Just reach out and I can help you,” the bigger vine said.
Finally, the little vine reached out her hands to the bigger vine. When she touched the bigger vine, she felt she was strong again. The wind and snow became stronger, but the little vine wasn’t worried because she stood with other vines.
One windy day, the little vine looked down and saw a scared smaller vine. She called her, “Here, reach out and I will help you.”
