Have you noticed that sometimes we fall in love with something at once and sometimes it takes time? If we are lucky, we come across a poem that immediately (立即) attracts us. But usually we need to spend time and effort to truly understand one. Here are some tips for reading poetry.
Sometimes a poem that seems boring at first becomes interesting and meaningful with more reading. Sometimes you may just not be in the right mood the first time, but later it touches your heart.
It is also helpful to keep a dictionary and a poetry reference book at hand when reading poetry. Poets often use unusual words.
Read poems aloud. Some poems have unclear structures and reading them aloud will make their rhythm clear. After reading a poem aloud, sometimes its meaning also becomes clearer.
The more poems you read, the deeper your understanding will become. In time poetry can enrich your life and bring you more joy.
