The Dragon Boat Festival is a fun Chinese festival. Usually it is in June and in a few years it is in late May. Both children and adults(成年人) like this festival.
There are dragon boat races during the festival. Dragon boats are very long in bright colours. In each boat, there are many people rowing. There is also somebody beating a drum(击鼓). The winners of the races can get a lot of money.
During the Dragon Boat Festival, people also eat a special kind of food—rice dumplings. To make these rice dumplings, people prepare many things. Then they can make rice dumplings of different flavours(味道). Some are sweet, and some are salty. They all taste good. People give them to friends.
On the evening of the festival, family members have a big meal together. I think the Dragon Boat Festival is a great time for everybody.
