Birdwatching is a fun hobby for many people. Birdwatchers like to look at birds in the w 1 . They take photos and r 2 the birds' sounds to learn about their life.
Now, birdwatching is getting more and more popular in China. It is said that millions of people like to go birdwatching across the country. John is one of them. When John was a college student, he got sick for a while. His doctor advised him to go o 3 more often. He then decided to take photos of birds. That sparked(激发) his great i 4 in birdwatching and photography. Birdwatching has helped him in many ways. His life slows down. He makes new friends. He also learns about some bird species(物种) that he didn't know about before. The most important thing among all is that he is much h 5 than before.
Sometimes it is not easy to do the job. Once, while he and his team members were s 6 for a kind of rare birds in the forest, it suddenly began to rain heavily. They all got cold and wet in the rain. L 7 , they were able to find this kind of birds. Also, they took a lot of clear pictures of the birds in their n 8 habitat(栖息地).
When John showed us the photos, he was still very e 9 . As he says, every time he takes photos like these, he feels his heart race, his eyes widen and almost automatically, he starts to smile. He really enjoys h 10 watching birds and taking photos.
He says such photos of birds show people wonderful moments in nature. They can help raise awareness(意识) of protecting birds and help to learn more about them.

Inside the room, Colin looked tired and ill as usual. But he turned his pale face to Mary and said, "This afternoon I'll see it! I'm thinking about what it'll look like."
"The g 1?" Mary asked.
"Yes, and I've never seen it," said Colin.
The servant carried Colin outside and put him in his wheelchair. Dickon began to push it slowly. Mary followed and Colin l 2 his face up. The sky looked high. The clouds looked like birds. The wind came with sweetness. Colin was lifting his thin chest to enjoy the air.
When they came to the ivy walls, the excited feeling made them begin to w 3. "This is where I walked up and down," said Mary.
"Is it?" Colin asked. "But there's no d 4." A few metres more, Mary whispered again. "This is where the b 5 flew over the wall."
"Is it?" Colin said. "I wish the bird would come again!"
"And that," said Mary, pointing under a tree, "is where it s 6 me the key."
Colin sat up.
"Where? There?" Colin asked.
Mary walked to the ivy walls and moved the ivy branch.
"Look! Here's the door. Dickon, p 7 him in—quickly!" Mary cried.
Dickon did it with one strong, steady push.
They were inside the garden and the chair stopped as if by magic.
Colin l 8 into the garden. Over walls and trees, the green leaves crept. In the grass under the trees there were gold, purple and white f 9. The sun fell warm upon his face with a lovely touch. Mary and Dickon looked at Colin in s 10. He looked so different because a pink colour was creeping all over him—his face, neck and hands and all.
"I shall get well!" he cried out. "Mary! Dickon! I shall live forever and ever!"
