Now, three high school students in Cyprus have developed a special robot with their teachers. Why is this robot special? That's because it uses AI chatbot technology.
The robot is named AIstein. It is the size of a small adult, and it can also answer questions like humans. AIstein has a screen for a face that appears to show facial expressions. One thing is certain, though. A robot teacher is better than no teachers at all. In some parts of the world, there aren't enough teachers, and 9-10 per cent of children under the age of 14 don't go to school. That is a real problem. Some local governments don't know how to deal with this problem. However, that problem can be partly solved by robots. Robots can teach anywhere and don't get stressed or tired. They will never move somewhere for an easier, high-paid job.
