She went to her uncle's house in England at the age of ten instead of staying in India. She found the secret garden and worked in it with Dickon, a local boy. Then she discovered her cousin Colin, who was ill and clouldn't walk. With the support of Mary, Dickon and the secret garden, Colin got well.
