However, I’ve met some problems too during our story time. Many fairy tales show characters as all good or all bad. This might make children think people in real life are the same. I have to explain to Jane that everyone has both good and bad sides. Another problem is that some fairy tales focus too much on (过分关注) beauty or wealth. Stories like “Cinderella” might make children think being beautiful or rich is the most important thing.
So, what is my advice? First, choose fairy tales with good messages. Second, talk to your children about the stories. Ask them questions like, “What would you do if you are the hero?” or “Do you think the story is fair?” This helps them think more.
