Behind these paintings are two volunteer painters，26-year-old Liu Zhicheng and 22-year-old Xu Fengkai. They come from small villages in Yunnan and have a deep love for the countryside. In June last year，the two young men spent their holidays in a town called Anju in Chongqing. They noticed some old walls and decided to stay longer to make the walls look better. Last September，the pair went to Liu's hometown in Yongsheng County in Lijiang to paint more murals.
