One day when Kelly,my daughter, was out,I entered her room to look for a book, only to find the room rather messy. I decided to tidy it up and it was no surprise that my daughter was angry about it when she was back.
I couldn't blame(责备)her,as I realized everyone's personal space needs to be respected. After that,it seemed like I saw the CAUTION(警告)tape more than I saw my daughter's face. The door to her room, like the door to her thoughts, was often closed. She spent more and more time by herself and was less and less interested in family movie night. I began to look for a way back into her world.
One Saturday evening,we went shopping for some clothes for she had grown bigger. The experience became a totally fun outing because we were together with great joy. We shopped, joked and laughed.
Besides,we entered a tea shop, tried some of their tea and bought a box of a flavor(口味)we both liked. Once the weather turns cold,it is always tea season in our house. This year, with our new tea flavor,I enjoyed making and sharing the tea. A knock on my daughter's door followed by "Tea,here..." was always welcomed. I no longer nagged(不停唠叨)about her homework. I no longer nagged about the dirty clothes on the floor. I no longer tried to ask for information about her friends. For that moment,I just brought her a cup of tea,and nothing more.
My ticket into her room came with hot water and a bag of tea leaves. By offering this simple comfort,I gained some quality time with my daughter.
1. What does the underlined word "it" refer to?

3. Why did the relationship between the writer and Kelly improve?
4. Have you ever had a problem similar to Kelly's? How did you deal with it?

你是怎么处理的?______
