Marine Conservation Volunteer Programme
Are you looking for meaningful travel chances that put the focus on the protection of easily - damaged ecosystems and endangered marine species(物种)? This project is well - suited to volunteers who want to help with the ocean species monitoring, sea turtle recovery(恢复) and weekly beach plastic cleaning.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, unless volunteering with a friend or family member who is 18 or older. You don't need to have any specialized experience, as you'll receive training including everything that is needed to carry out research - based activities at sea. Please notice that you need to be able to float and swim at least 50 metres. Please be sure to rate(评估) your swimming ability when you apply(申请). All volunteers will be tested upon arrival to the programme.
Volunteer schedule
First Day: On your first day of volunteering, our local staff will be with you and help you get familiar with your project.
Weekdays: A volunteer day is as follows:
7:30 a.m. Breakfast at the volunteer centre.
8:00 a.m. Volunteers travel to their project.
8:30 a.m.—12:00 p.m. Volunteer work.
12:00 p.m.—1:00 p.m. A lunch break.
1:00 p.m.—3:30 p.m. Volunteer work.
6:30 p.m. Dinner at the volunteer centre.
Please notice that this schedule will be different depending on the needs of your own project. But the whole working time is the same. To ensure the safety of our volunteers and the respect of others in the volunteer apartment, a curfew(宵禁) has been put in place.
