Raccoons (浣熊) are very cute. It seems that they are always wearing a mask. Actually, they are also quite clever.
Not long ago, some scientists tested a group of raccoons. In the test, they showed the raccoons a cylinder There was food on the top of the water in the cylinder. But the food was too low for the raccoons to get.
The scientists showed the raccoons how to put stones into the water to raise the water level. Only two of the eight raccoons in the study repeated what they did. Does this mean raccoons are not clever enough?
Not at all! In fact, the other raccoons proved (证明) themselves to be creative. Some of them climbed onto the cylinder. They shook it back and forth until it tipped over (倾倒). At last they got the food inside. The others also had new ways to get the food.
From the test, we can see that the raccoons are not only clever, but also creative!

答案:1.D 2.A 3.C 4.B
解析:
In the test, they showed the raccoons a cylinder. There was food on the top of the water in the cylinder."可知食物放在圆筒内部的水面上,对应D选项,排除A(在圆筒旁边)、B(在圆筒下方)、C(在圆筒上方)的错误表述。
But the food was too low for the raccoons to get."
